Billing Information

Billing Information

ChemFinder billing information is based on the subscription plan chosen by the user. Users have the option to subscribe to either the Regular plan or the Advanced plan, both of which come with a 7-day free trial period. The billing details, including payment frequency (monthly or yearly) and billing amounts, depend on the selected subscription plan. ChemFinder utilizes secure payment processing methods and ensures that users are billed accurately according to their chosen subscription.

Email Notifications:

ChemFinder will send email notifications to users when their trial periods are almost over, detailing when the payment date of their subscriptions will begin.

Billing Details:

When a user is billed per their subscription monthly or yearly, the words 'ChemFinder' will appear on bank and payment method-related transaction details.

Billing Invoices:

Billing invoices can be easily accessed inside the user's account by clicking on the Gear icon on the footer (in mobile) or by clicking on the Gear icon on the right-hand side of the header navigation on the desktop. The user will be directed to the 'My Settings' page when clicking the Gear icon, where access to billing info, cancellation of the account, and viewing recent invoices of billing subscription-related details can be accessed by clicking on 'Manage Subscription'. This will launch the Billing and Subscription Stripe Portal hosting all user-related payment info. All info is secured by the Stripe platform.

Subscription Cancellation:

Here, the user can also cancel their subscription and remove/delete their payment method, meaning that there will be no payment history on their account. When the user cancels their subscription and also removes their payment method, ChemFinder allows the user to log in again at a later date and resubscribe without creating an entirely new account. However, all payment history and subscription info will be removed as soon as the user cancels the subscription and also manually deletes their payment method. The payment method does not have to be deleted when a user cancels the subscription; simply canceling the subscription will stop all future automatic subscription payments from being debited from the user's account.

Kindly note that billing, subscription management, and payments are not accessible via the iOS or Android apps. To manage, cancel, downgrade, or upgrade your account subscription, please visit our website.
